Tensile Bond Strength Test
Basic Testing Procedure

- Insert the cup-embedded sample inside the base. Use a small coin to tighten the base lock against the bottom of the specimen holder ring.
- Fit the tensile nozzle to the coupler end of the active rod and allow it to gently slide free until the tensile nozzle tip touches the specimen surface.
- Position the device on a firm surface and place the stabilizer weight on the upper active rod.
- Apply test material through the two windows with a plastic instrument, either in bulk, or in increments. Assure good retention by allowing the material to extend over the edges of the windows.
- If a light-cured material is used, cure at an angle of approximately 45 degrees through both windows of the tensile nozzle.
