Cleaning and Specimen Holder Ring Retrieval

1. The specimen holder rings can be re-used on removal of the old specimen.

2. A specimen can be removed by unscrewing the base lock and screwing the specimen holder ring half way into the base.

3. Place a ring retriever punch (or similar tool) on the resin and tap firmly with a hammer.

4. Tensile nozzles should be checked for defects after removal of specimen material. Tip edges can be refreshed if needed, but should by done by precision capable machining lathe.

5. The device should be wiped clean after use and the active rod slightly lubricated with a silicone lubricant. Replace the O-rings when necessary.
